Blog #1

For our first blogpost we were suppose to find something that relates to what we did in class this week. Well this week (or the week that this was suppose to be done on) we studied relationships. We spent most of our class time collecting data from a pendulum lab to find out which variable affects the period of the pendulum and what kind of relationship it has. From there we had to go out and look for something in the world that deals with relationships. I picked a three-prong spear. The relationship of the spear's distance to the rubber band's stretch has a direct relationship. The greater the band is stretched along the pole toward the prongs the farther the spear will move in the water. This relationship allows us to spear fish without having to throw the spear like we would on land.
